Home of the closest rapids that I know of

You could spend years in Southern Biscayne Bay and not see it all. But sooner or later we all need to expand our horizons.

The Loxahatchee is THE scenic river in South Florida. It is a beautiful paddle through diverse subtropical ecosystems and has the closest thing to whitewater (the dams) south of  Orlando. If you've done this river only in the park, you ain't seen nothin'. You have to try it from the top.

Aren't any southeast rivers (least not south of the lox) in the greenway program but they're supposed to be real nice.

They're up there but worth the Trip
